We appreciate your interest in volunteering for the Land O'Lakes Legends Classic.  Volunteer shifts typically last 4-5 hours. 

PLEASE NOTE:
Scoring and Standard Bearer volunteers are assigned to a specific pairing group and need to be available all day in case of weather delays.

 

Volunteer Positions

Leader Board - “Inside the Ropes”

Update scores on manually operated scoreboards at designated holes/locations during play. Must have knowledge of golf. Use of smartphone and two-way radio required.

Marshal - “Inside the Ropes”

Provide crowd control and safety at driving range, tees, greens and fairways. Help spot balls for players, if needed.

Scorer – “Inside the Ropes”

One Scorer assigned for each tee time and/or greenside score reporting may be used. Record scores of players via live scoring app (and unofficial paper scorecard or log sheet). Must have knowledge of golf, scoring, and be familiar with smartphone functionality.  Able to drive cart and work in all weather conditions.  Use of two-way radio and smartphone required.

Standard Bearer - “Inside the Ropes”

Update player's scores on scoring standard attached to golf cart; ride with Scorer. Must have golf knowledge and be able to work in all weather conditions.  Assignment is by tee time.

Real Time Score Monitoring

Monitor live scoring submissions by Scorers using laptop computer (or tablet); use two-way radio to communicate with Scorers and update missing/erroneous hole scores as needed. Strong computer skills and ability to work in fast paced environment required; golf knowledge helpful. 

Scoring Tent

Receive and check official scorecards of LPGA Legends professionals in scoring tent. Confident math skills required. Run scorecards from scoring tent to tournament office.  Collect caddie bibs and scoring equipment after final round.  

Admissions / Will Call

Welcome patrons as they arrive on site, checking/selling tickets, distributing Will Call tickets, handing out pairings cards/course maps, and providing tournament information at admissions gate / main tournament entrance.

Fanbassadors

Greet patrons, answer questions and provide directions to tees, etc. Distribute pairings cards/course maps.  Friendly outgoing personality desired.

Ecology (On-Course Services)

Supply tees w/ ice, water, donated product; replenish as needed. Requires heavy lifting and driving cart.  Assist with shuttling volunteers and lunch distribution as needed.

 

Volunteer Shuttle Operator

Shuttle volunteers to/from on-course positions using golf cart or people mover cart.  Distribute lunch/beverages to on-course volunteers.

 

Volunteer Headquarters 

Assist Volunteer Coordinator with checking in volunteers, signing out/in two-way radios and scoring equipment, distributing lunches and providing support to event staff.

Parking &  VIP Services (Security)

Monitor parking areas; greet and direct patrons; monitor "credentials only" areas (i.e., player lounge, VIP area); assist with pro-am tasks and other miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Hole-in-One Witness (Pro-Am)

One volunteer positioned at tee (one at the green) on contest hole during pro-am.

Pro Registration

Register Legends professionals; collect player entry fees; organize will call tickets (player guests).
